About Missions

• Woodlands Church takes very seriously the Biblical call to "make disciples." We do this locally in our own neighborhoods, but our aim is to also reach across our region and around the world with the hope of Christ.

  Our goal is to focus strategically, relate specifically, and invest sacrificially.

Focus Strategically...

• We have selected a few places where we can make the most difference. Many of these places struggle with issues of poverty, crime, corruption, disease, bad water, and poor education, yet have huge ministry potential. Our humanitarian efforts, however, serve only as a gateway of sharing Christ and helping to establish strong Biblical community, which are our driving objectives.

Relate Specifically...

• Rather than creating an organization identified with Woodlands Church, we partner with local churches so that we are invisible and the local leadership is given the credit. We also identify networks of churches and Christian leaders we can encourage, train, and empower in their ministry efforts.

Invest Sacrificially...

• The places where we work are not always the most convenient or most cost effective regions of the world. However, it is our desire to make each area of strategic focus a priority for a very long time, seeing the fruit of sustainable process and relational equity. This means sacrificing time and resources, seeing slow, but valuable results.
