Counseling Services

The Counseling Ministry at Woodlands Church provides short term biblically-based counseling for our members (people who have attended membership class 101). We strive to offer hope and encouragement for those dealing with difficult circumstances, equipping them with practical tools for change, for navigating grief and conflict. We offer counseling services to individuals and married couples.

Lay counselors provide these services. They are paraprofessional volunteers; they have been trained in listening, clarifying and goal setting, and receive ongoing supervision from Psychiatrists, Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselors and other professionals in the field. Our lay counselors are not paid or licensed. Their willingness to serve allows us to provide counseling to members at a minimal cost.

Appointment Details
An initial fee of $20.00 is required to schedule the first visit. Follow up sessions are booked with a $10.00 scheduling fee for an individual session and $20.00 for couples or families. Sessions generally last 45-50 minutes and are by appointment only. After the first 3 sessions, you and the counselor will review progress toward goals. If appropriate, you may agree to continue meeting for an additional 3-6 visits.

Appointments are by appointment only Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments are available. Counseling sessions are conducted in the counseling office/prayer rooms located off the main auditorium lobby.
