Care & Prayer

The Care and Prayer Ministry offers hope and help in times of pain or crisis for families, singles, children & adults of all ages through Counseling, Cancer Resource Team, Celebrate Recovery, DivorceCare and Pastoral Care. We also provide pastoral guidance, support and services for weddings and funerals.

Prayer Ministry
There are numerous opportunities to serve within our prayer ministry at the church. We have a prayer room that is manned by volunteers before and after each service on the weekends. An E-mail Team is made up of individuals who receive daily prayer requests online. A Brown Bag Prayer group meets during lunch once a month to pray for the pastoral staff. The Broadcast Ministry Call Center Team is also a great opportunity to pray for people from all across the world. If you have a Prayer Request please send here.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry exists to reach out, give hope, and let those that are sick know that someone cares for them and is praying for them. This ministry focuses on knitting shawls for those that are hospitalized or going through medical treatments. This group meets on the first Friday of every month at noon in the Green Room. Broadcast Ministry Call Center Team

If you have a heart to reach out to others and share the Good News, join us as we answer calls in response to Pastor Kerry's televised broadcasts.  Whether processing a request for a sermon tape or responding to needs through prayer - this ministry offers a unique opportunity to truly make a difference for Christ in the World.  Full training is provided.  For more information contact Robin Robinson.

Cancer Resource Team
The Cancer Resource Team is available for you, your family and your caregiver.  This ministry can help provide air flights, peer support, meals, prayer and resource assistance.  For more information, contact us.

GriefShare
If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

GriefShare at Woodlands Church is a ministry for people grieving the loss of someone close. This 13 week video & curriculum-based program is facilitated by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.  For more information, contact us.

Hospital Visitation Ministry
The Hospital Visitation members visit church members who are sick and in the hospital to provide comfort and encouragement in their time of need.   If you know one of our church family members is in the hospital, please call or email Woodlands Church. The Hospital Visitation Ministry team will be notified and a visit will be scheduled by a team member. For more information, contact us.

Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry serves meal to members and regular attenders on a short term basis who have been hospitalized with the birth of a child or a serious illness. If you know one of our church members is in the hospital or recently returned home from the hospital, please call or email Woodlands Church. The Meals Ministry team will be notified and a meal will be scheduled by a team member. For more information contact the Meals Ministry.

Counseling
The purpose is to provide biblically-based, clinically-competent, and spiritually-sensitive counseling on a short term basis.  We strive to promote psychological and spiritual health for individuals, couples and families. We help individuals and families cope with personal and interpersonal problems through the application of biblical truths, with the Bible and the Holy Spirit serving as the primary resource and advisor for counseling and teaching.

Confidential Services
The Counseling Center is staffed by compassionate and competent Christian professionals.  All information is confidential and private.  

Location
The Counseling Center is located in the portable offices adjacent to the south parking lot (near the Singles' Tent).

Office Hours and Appointments
Office hours are 8:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Appointment hours are 8:00 to 4:00, Monday through Thursday. All sessions are by appointment only. Sessions are 45 minutes in length. For more information, contact us.

Funerals
The death of a family member is a very substantial loss. We want to make this painful transition time of sorrow and grief less lonely and overwhelming by assisting in funeral services for our members and their families. We are available to answer questions about death and life after death.  We also offer support and help to families and individuals during this very difficult and sorrowful time. Weddings
Your wedding is a sacred occasion and we would love to assist you on this very special day. We are available for premarital counseling and wedding ceremonies for members.  For more information, contact us.
